Philosophy
My patient care philosophy is to treat people like family. I empathize with anyone who desires to get back to a functional, pain free way of life. My deep personal commitment is to get all my patients living their best life.
Personal Information
My decision to pursue a medical career was stemmed from my experience as a young boy watching my father battle cancer. I witnessed firsthand the dramatic impact physicians had on my father's life, and I knew I wanted a career driven by a similar altruistic purpose.
I ultimately chose orthopedic spine surgery because of the great satisfaction associated with helping people with musculoskeletal and spine issues. From the technical precision required in surgery, to the medical knowledge needed to diagnose complaints, I deeply enjoy all aspects of the job.
The fields of orthopedic and spine surgery continue to evolve. With the evolution of minimally invasive techniques, computer navigation, motion sparing technology, and robotics, patients are able to recover faster, with less pain, and less risk for complications. It is an exciting time to be an orthopedic spine surgeon.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, swimming, lifting weights, and playing basketball.
