Reviewed on June 13, 2018 Over my years of seeing Dr. Portelance, I've generally appreciated his tendency to avoid excessive responses (e.g. prescriptions, referrals) for various conditions or concerns. On occasion, however, I would have preferred a somewhat more active approach to more aggressively address a symptom (e.g. severe neck pain/immobility, when I probably should have been referred to a massage/physical therapist vs. just getting a prescription for a muscle relaxant).
