I had a serious gastrointestinal issue which had been severe for the 3 days prior to the visit and continued for a further 5 days. I provided a great deal of information on related gastrointestinal problems in the 2 week period leading up to the onset of the severe diarrhea I was experiencing. The only thing I would like to have changed about the visit was a) feeling like the doctor was paying attention to the whole story and fully understood the context and b) explained the range of causes for the symptoms I had experienced. I still don't know why certain symptoms were occurring (parasites, viruses, toxins?).

Dr. Gerard listened to me and gave advice based on my information. He was very respectful and showed concern as needed. He takes time to listen and understand before making further decisions. I think he is an excellent physician and trust his advice.

#8. If a provider does not spend enough time w/a patient it because the administration does not allow that to happen!
