Our program is designed to treat patients with urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain and pregnancy-related dysfunction.
Treatment modalities include:
One of the primary goals of physical therapy is to provide each patient with the information and individual training to be able to complete a large portion of the treatment at home. This includes specialized home exercise programs and advice regarding helpful behavioral changes.
We typically see most patients once a week for about an hour. Most patients find they have significant improvement in symptoms in as little as 6-8 weeks.
Our physical therapists have all completed training through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute for evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.
The therapists utilize their training to treat patients from a musculoskeletal perspective with internal and external manual therapy techniques, biofeedback, postural retraining, behavioral modification, and therapeutic exercise.
We treat female and male patients with urinary and fecal incontinence, bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, and pregnancy and postpartum related problems.
