CME FAQs

In event of inclement weather:

The CME program will follow the Lake Washington School District inclement weather closure information. If schools open one hour late, or are cancelled, then no Grand Rounds will take place on that day. Every effort will be made to reschedule the presentation.

Where can I find a complete list of courses available through EvergreenHealth CME?

  • Monthly FOCUS Calendar (mailed monthly to members of the Medical Staff)
  • EvergreenHealth Physician Portal

How do I obtain a transcript of the Category 1 CME activities that I have attended at EvergreenHealth?

To obtain a transcript please call the CME office at 425.899.1853 or email phamernik@evergreenhealth.com and leave information about the exact years that you would like the transcript to cover, and the email or fax number where the transcript may be sent.

I was told that some activities are recorded. How may I view these?

All Grand Rounds are recorded* and available on the EvergreenHealth Sharepoint page (under Useful Links—Grand Rounds videos) AFTER the 10th of the month following the month that the Grand Rounds took place in. They are also available on the Physician Portal in the following month after the presentation.

*Please note: We attempt to record these sessions without technical difficulties and strive to make the presentations available to the clinical staff. Please accept our apologies in advance when access or presentations are not available due to situations beyond our control.

How do I participate remotely via Webex?

A portion of the presentations offered at EvergreenHealth include Webex access. The Webex access information is provided on the monthly calendar or on the activity flyer for those activities offering remote access.

When signing into the Webex presentation, please be patient—presentations begin shortly after the designated start time. Turn off the camera on your computer. We are unable to answer questions from remote audience members during the presentation.

Are credits available for viewing recorded CME online?

At the present time, you may self-claim Category 2 credit for any recorded activities you view online.

I have an idea for a CME educational activity which may benefit the medical community at EvergreenHealth. Who do I talk to?

We encourage and rely on physician input regarding future topics and speakers. Please contact the CME Office at 425.899.1853 to discuss your idea and to obtain an application form.

How many credits must I complete to maintain my license?

Licensed physicians must complete 200 hours of continuing education every four years as required in chapter 246-12 WAC, Part 7.

I have a special need. Who do I contact?

We provide individuals with disabilities reasonable accommodations to participate in CME activities. Individuals with disabilities who require an accommodation to participate in a CME activity should contact the CME office at 425.899.1853.
