This 12-hour, two-day Childbirth Preparation Course is ideal for first-time parents. Learn about the labor & birth process and labor coping skills, such as patterned breathing and positioning. This class provides information about pain medication options including epidural anesthesia, procedures such as induction and cesarean birth and tips for a smooth postpartum recovery including breastfeeding your newborn. This class has additional time to practice labor coping skills. This class meets in-person for a total of 12 hours on two full weekend days (6 hours each day) 9:30am - 4:00pm. Includes an interactive tour of the Family Maternity Center.
Register one person only and feel free to bring support person at no additional cost. Fee $300 (plus tax) for 2 persons.
