Do you want to better understand the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community? This class is geared towards anyone who wants to better support their LGBTQ+ youth, family, friends, and neighbors. This virtual class offers a chance to learn common terminology, developmental information, disparities in health outcomes, and practical how to’s to empower participants with trusted information to build an equitable and more inclusive community. EvergreenHealth, with support from our employee-led Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Council, has prioritized SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression) education as part of our commitment to providing respectful, inclusive care for our community. Current research clearly validates the need for education and resources on topics such as SOGIE. The LGBTQ+ community (both youth and adults) experiences a high rate of health disparities, leaving them in need of more inclusive, respectful care. We invite you to join us for this important class!
