Most health care professionals recommend breastfeeding as the best source of nutrition for your baby's first 6 months. About Breastfeeding
Breast milk contains appropriate amounts of carbohydrate, protein and fat, and provides digestive enzymes, minerals, vitamins and hormones that infants require.
It also contains antibodies from the mother that can help the baby resist infections.
EvergreenHealth encourages breastfeeding, and our nationally-recognized Breastfeeding Center is here to offer you the help and support you need to have an enjoyable breastfeeding experience.
Mothers who gave birth at EvergreenHealth can access our lactation specialists by phone at 425.899.3494.
