I have been actively involved in bringing minimally invasive lung nodule and lung cancer evaluation to EvergreenHealth. This includes new technologies such as endobronchial ultrasound and navigational bronchoscopy. These new technologies can allow simpler, safer, and more comprehensive evaluation.
My other area of special interest is in interstitial lung diseases (ILD). This includes caring for people who have cough and shortness of breath due to pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, environmental lung diseases, and rheumatological lung disease.
I believe that people can feel empowered in making the right decisions in their healthcare when they have a clear understanding of their lung disease. I help people understand how the most up to date evidence in medicine can be used to improve their quality of life.
In my free time I enjoy exercise and outdoor activity with my wife and two young daughters. Together we have fun exploring the Pacific Northwest through hiking, skiing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and running (rain or shine!)

Reviewed on April 12, 2019 On this visit, which was delayed, he seemed to be distracted by his previous visit to or about that patient. He forgot to follow up on the CAT scan he had had me get. I had to remind him of it - I felt like I wasted $1700 on the CAT scan. He did apologize profusely.
