Monroe, Wash. – EvergreenHealth Monroe is pleased to announce that its Wound Healing Center has been honored with the Center of Distinction award by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Wound Healing Center in Monroe earned the award for high patient satisfaction and exemplary wound healing rates.
According to Healogics, EvergreenHealth Monroe Wound Healing Center surpasses national benchmarks in several key performance areas including patient satisfaction (97 percent), wound healing rates (95 percent) and median days to heal (23 days).
“EvergreenHealth Monroe is proud to recognize our Wound Healing Center. The center’s advanced, state-of-the-art hyperbaric techniques and specialized service are true distinctions of the care we provide to patients in our East Snohomish County community and beyond,” said Eric Jensen, chief administrative officer, EvergreenHealth Monroe. “This recognition from Healogics not only reflects the dedication of our team, but also the caliber of care residents in the Sky Valley can expect from their health care provider.”
The award recognizes EvergreenHealth Monroe Wound Healing Center’s exceptional patient service and efficiency in treating wounds thanks to its specialization in hyperbaric techniques. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy creates an inhospitable environment for most types of bacteria, preventing the spread of infection and rapidly accelerating wound healing and recovery times.
Patients like Garrett Carver of Monroe know firsthand how the Wound Healing Center provides life-changing care.
“After my legs were crushed in a severe work incident, I spent a month bouncing around to numerous providers at varying clinics, none of which were able to provide me the treatment I desperately needed,” Carver said. “I was fortunate enough to come to EvergreenHealth Monroe Wound Care where the team led by Dr. Jonathan Borjeson went above and beyond during my time of extreme need. Without the quick actions from the staff and the hyperbaric techniques that healed my wounds quickly and effectively, I don’t know what state my leg would be in today from these injuries. I am truly thankful for the great care the team at the Wound Healing Center provides.”
“Garrett’s story is a shining example of why we strive to offer the highest levels of care and service at the EvergreenHealth Monroe Wound Healing Center. The center’s doctors and clinical staff are skilled in the latest therapeutic methods of wound management and awards such as these are a true testament to our staff’s dedication to every patient and caring their unique circumstances,” said Jennifer Una Hubble, RN, clinical program manager of EvergreenHealth Monroe Wound Healing Center. “This award not only affirms our patient-centered approach, but it also inspires us to continue to excel.”
