EvergreenHealth Announces 2015 Digital Health Pilot Program Finalists

Kirkland, Wash. – Today, EvergreenHealth, in partnership with Cambia Grove and Elevar, announced the finalists of the organizations’ Digital Health Pilot Program via Elevar Labs, which are designed to innovate and enhance the patient and provider dynamic from start to finish.

According to EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte, the organizations are eager to collaborate with digital health startups and pioneer new ways to accelerate patient-powered care.

“We are inspired by the innovative thinking all of the participating startups are currently developing within their own verticals and we look forward to solving some of our industry’s most pressing patient-engagement challenges together,” Malte said.

The finalists represent a range of health care startups selected out of nearly 100 companies from around the world. The program kicked off with Seattle’s first “Reverse Pitch Day,” which took place on July 28, 2015, at Cambia Grove, a local work space designed to foster and support startup health care technology companies.

At the event, EvergreenHealth executives discussed business challenges and “pitched” four problem statements to a group of startup companies, which were then further vetted through the “Enterprise Challenge” to refine and customize solutions for the health system.

The selected innovative health care startups are:

  • EHR.Works, a web-based productivity suite that brings efficiency and personalization to healthcare with multiple apps and services.
  • Flow Health, an intelligent operating system designed like a social network for patient-centric care that automates, coordinates and personalizes care delivery.
  • Health123, a Seattle-based digital health startup transforming between-the-office-visit care with a shared “virtual care plan” platform that extends care teams and improves adherence and outcomes.
  • Life Nexus (iChip), a cloud-based platform that allows patients to update and share their health information, giving providers greater insight and the ability to operate more efficiently.
  • MD Clarity, a platform for patients and providers that makes it easier to share data about out-of-pocket costs and outcomes, access analytics around payer and patient populations and optimize the transactions associated with the patient's flow through the healthcare system.
  • MedSocket, which provides a user-friendly clinical decision support system and medical search engine to connect providers with the best available evidence-based information.
  • Quantified Care, a software platform for remote patient monitoring, management and engagement to allow healthcare organizations to better manage patient health, even when those patients are not in the clinical system.

The purpose of EvergreenHealth’s Digital Health Pilot Program is two-fold, helping the health system better address its most challenging business problems through startup partnerships while supporting the digital health ecosystem by giving talented startups and entrepreneurs an opportunity to align products and solutions with the needs of enterprise.

“We were extremely impressed with the quality of digital health startups and cutting-edge innovations that applied to the program,” said Chris Edell, CEO of Elevar. “The Pacific Northwest demonstrates a very inspiring spirit of entrepreneurship, and we applaud EvergreenHealth and Cambia Grove’s invaluable contributions to the digital health entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
