Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth recently welcomed Linnea Ekin, PA-C, to its team of skilled providers in its Heart and Vascular Care practice.
Ekin is a board-certified physician assistant and has specialized in general cardiology since 2011. More specifically, her practice focuses on using electrophysiology to diagnose patients with potential heart conditions.
“Linnea’s expertise and desire to holistically understand her patients and their health care needs helps us continue our mission to advance the health of our community through dedication to high-quality, safe, compassionate and cost-effective care,” said Aileen Mickey, MD, FCCP, chief administrative officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “We’re thrilled to welcome her to our team of heart and vascular care providers.
According to Ekin, she believes in fostering a trusting and collaborative relationship with each of her patients. She does so to ensure they understand their diagnosis and feel comfortable with their individualized treatment plan. Ekin also truly enjoys getting to know her patients throughout their health journey and hopes to improve each patient’s quality of life.
Ekin’s experience in cardiology first began in 2007 when she was a cardiac technician in Omaha, Nebraska. She then began practicing as a cardiology physician assistant in Wisconsin before moving to the Pacific Northwest and joining the team at EvergreenHealth.
Outside of the health system, you can find Ekin hiking trails around the Cascades, getting lost in a book, relaxing by the fire with her family or volunteering as a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor.
