Multidisciplinary practice offers comprehensive weight loss services
Kirkland, Wash. — EvergreenHealth recently opened its new weight loss and bariatric surgery practice, EvergreenHealth Weight Loss & Bariatric Care, which offers treatment and services for adult patients living with a range of health and wellness needs.
The new practice offers three treatment programs. Each weight loss pathway is designed to meet patients where they are on their journeys to better health, and accommodates patients with a range of complex health needs and existing chronic conditions. Bariatric surgery options include the Sleeve Gastrectomy, Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass and Duodenal Switch procedures, as well as revisional and conversion surgeries.
In addition to surgical options, the new comprehensive practice will provide patient access to non-surgical, evidence-based treatment options such as health and wellness coaching, and medically managed weight loss. Treatment plans are based on whole food nutrition and lifestyle changes such as stress management, sleep pattern analysis and individualized fitness routines to achieve life-changing, long-term results. When appropriate, FDA approved weight loss medications may be prescribed.
“Our new weight loss and bariatric practice is a reflection of EvergreenHealth’s commitment to serving as our patients’ partner in health care, empowering those we care for with the knowledge and resources to live their healthiest best,” Aileen Mickey, MD, FCCP, chief medical officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “Using a collaborative, patient-centered approach, our providers work closely with patients and their multidisciplinary care team to develop customized treatment plans that support their long-term health goals.”
