Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Woodinville has welcomed Julie Jungels, MD, to its team of compassionate internal medicine physicians. In addition to practicing internal medicine, Dr. Jungels specializes in weight loss treatment, as well.
Since 2010, Dr. Jungels has lived and worked within the Puget Sound region, offering evidence-based, high-quality care to adult patients. As the Woodinville practice’s newest provider, she partners with patients to create care plans that suit their individual needs and help them maintain their highest quality of life, which is based in her belief that patients should be empowered to play an active role in their health care.
“We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Julie Jungels to our primary care team in Woodinville,” said Aileen Mickey, MD, FCCP, chief medical officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “By expanding our group of providers to meet the growing community’s health care needs, more patients in Woodinville, Bothell and the surrounding areas will have even more choice for establishing a long-term relationship with a primary care provider.”
Her areas of focus closely align with her personal experiences, which have helped shape her approach to patient care. For example, after the birth of her children, Dr. Jungels experienced firsthand how weight loss can affect the mind and body. She’s since developed a special interest in weight loss medicine and obesity.
Dr. Jungels earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana, and completed her residency at the University of Washington. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).
When she isn’t treating patients, Dr. Jungels likes to spend her time participating in various hobbies including knitting, playing video games and reading. An advocate for living a healthy lifestyle, she also enjoys running and strength training.
