Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth recently welcomed Dr. Lindsay Collins to its Diabetes and Endocrinology Care practice in Kirkland, where she joins a team of specialists who provide comprehensive care for patients with diabetes and other metabolic disorders.
Dr. Collins specializes in general endocrinology and diabetic medicine, with a clinical focus in metabolic bone disease, pituitary cancer and thyroid disease. She brings experience implementing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for adult patients.
As a board-certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Collins provides personalized and compassionate care while promoting the importance of educating her patients and making sure treatments fit them and their lifestyles. She believes listening to patients is central to an appropriate evaluation and an accurate diagnosis. She works to educate patients about their diseases, discuss available treatment options and help them choose the one that best fits their goals.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Collins to our expert team of diabetes and endocrinology providers,” said Aileen Micky, MD, FCCP, chief medical officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “Her patient-centered approach and education-based philosophy of care will greatly benefit our community as she partners with patients to achieve their healthiest best.”
Dr. Collins earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington, where she remained for a fellowship in endocrinology. Most recently, she served as a primary care and internal medicine physician at UW Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys being active with running, cycling, skiing or playing soccer.
EvergreenHealth Diabetes and Endocrinology Care provides comprehensive care for patients with diabetes and metabolic disorders. In addition to medical diagnosis and treatment, certified nutritionists and registered dieticians remain actively engaged with patients to manage lifestyle changes, while providing additional educational resources and training.
