Drs. Jennifer Heydt and William G. Young Join EvergreenHealth Ear, Nose & Throat Care

Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth recently welcomed Jennifer Heydt, MD, and William G. Young, MD, to its Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Care practice. Drs. Heydt and Young will provide patients with advanced ear, nose and throat care including head and neck cancer care, sleep apnea care, treatment of voice and hearing problems and more from the health system’s Kirkland-based ENT practice.

Heydt and Young currently practice and will continue to see patients on a part-time basis.

Dr. Heydt is a board-certified surgeon of otolaryngology and treats patients of all ages with head and neck cancer, sinusitis, nasal obstruction, facial trauma, sleep apnea, snoring, ear infections, hearing loss, voice problems, tonsil and adenoid issues, and thyroid and parathyroid disorders.

Dr. Young treats all types of ear, nose and throat disorders, with a special interest in laryngology, including the diagnosis and management of voice, airway, swallowing and cough disorders. In addition to being board certified in otolaryngology, he is also the first fellowship-trained laryngologist on the Eastside.

Dr. Heydt shares that she enjoys ENT care because it enables her to care for a broad range of patients, from children to adults, who live with simple and complex conditions. She believes in spending time with her patients and listening to all of their concerns, working together to find practical interventions that can lead to immediate and effective treatment plans.

After attending medical school at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Heydt completed her internal otolaryngology residency at the University of Washington Medical Center. She also completed a research fellowship at the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center in Seattle.

Dr. Young is passionate about the work he does, and offers unique experience in non-anesthetic office procedures, specializing in diagnosing and treating a variety of laryngeal, tracheal and esophageal conditions. He works closely with providers in other related disciplines, such as speech pathologists, to provide the highest quality surgical and non-surgical care to his patients.

Dr. Young attended medical school at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, Chicago Medical School and completed his internal otolaryngology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He then completed a fellowship in laryngology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Drs. Heydt and Young will see patients at EvergreenHealth’s Ear, Nose & Throat practice on the hospital’s Kirkland campus. Dr. Heydt will take patient appointments on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Dr. Young will see patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the same time frame.

Both providers will remain on staff at Proliance Eastside ENT, while supporting the community’s ENT needs at EvergreenHealth ENT Care through the newly formed partnership.
