The health system’s third urgent care this year brings convenient care options to Kenmore
Kenmore, Wash. – EvergreenHealth is pleased to announce the opening of a new, enhanced primary care and urgent care clinic in the LINQ at Spencer Square in Kenmore, Washington. The expansion of EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Kenmore signals another step forward in EvergreenHealth’s mission to create an inclusive health system that is the community’s most trusted health care source.
The Kenmore practice is one of the health system’s 12 primary care locations, and its fifth urgent care clinic—the third location to open this year. Built in the center of Kenmore, the new neighborhood location relocates EvergreenHealth’s existing Kenmore primary care practice and expands it to offer a greater capacity of care with the addition of urgent care, physical therapy, 3-D mammography screening, and X-ray and laboratory services.
“We are excited about our deepening commitment to what has been a long-standing relationship with the Kenmore community,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte. “With this expansion of services, we are enhancing the patient experience, while also realizing our organization’s long-term strategic plan to expand our footprint thoughtfully to meet the needs of our growing community.”
Among its features, the new facility brings to providers a point-of-care lab-testing technology previously used only in inpatient hospital settings. This system allows the provider to take a small blood sample and run a variety of tests with immediate results right in the exam room, to more quickly determine the causes of a patient’s condition and begin treatment sooner—creating a more efficient patient experience.
A range of care options and expanded onsite services available at the new location allow patients to receive various treatments all under one roof, reducing the need to travel for diagnostic or follow-up care. The new location also allows for one continuous health care space, featuring six care areas that can flex throughout the day between primary and urgent care needs, achieving optimal patient flow.
To further personalize the patient-provider approach, the facility’s universally designed exam rooms include a discussion area, away from the exam table, so providers can easily share and educate patients and families in the comfort of a conference-style setting.
“Our small, but mighty practice has taken care of generations of families—and created lasting, meaningful relationships with those who have entrusted us with their care,” said Dr. Tim Anderson, a long-time primary care provider at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Kenmore. “While this new, larger and more sophisticated location will help us continue the tradition of care in Kenmore, what will not change is the personal touch and the bonds that are formed between our care team and our patients.”
