Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth is pleased to welcome three new providers to its Heart & Vascular Care practice. The specialists join the Kirkland-based practice on EvergreenHealth’s hospital campus with extensive experience in clinical and surgical care, and a focus on providing comprehensive care for patients with complex heart conditions and vascular disease.
Joining the practice is Dr. Priscilla Hoang, a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology, with expertise in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease; Dr. Michael Zammit, a vascular surgeon, with a focus in ultrasound, percutaneous endovascular therapies and wound care; and Dr. Amy Coulter, who specializes in vascular surgery and brings experience from an academic hospital setting.
“We are honored to welcome these three talented physicians to EvergreenHealth Heart & Vascular Care, where their strengths will complement the team’s commitment to providing patients with the highest quality of care for treatment of even the most complicated vascular issues,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte.
Dr. Hoang is originally from the Pacific Northwest and most recently served as an interventional cardiologist at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington. She has completed extensive training in atrial septal defect and patent foramen ovale closure, mitral and aortic valvuloplasty, and transcutaneous aortic valve implantation.
Dr. Zammit also has a long history of serving patients in the Northwest and joins EvergreenHealth from Yakima Regional Medical & Cardiac Center. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of vascular specialties, including treatment of peripheral arterial aneurysms, stroke prevention, endovascular treatment of vascular disease, and treatment for varicose veins and deep venous thrombosis, among many others.
Dr. Coulter’s clinical expertise allows her to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex vascular disease. In addition to clinical care and surgery, she has experience mentoring and training medical students and board-eligible surgeons, and she remains involved in surgical education through teaching review courses to surgeons who are in the process of becoming board certified.
EvergreenHealth Heart & Vascular Care brings together clinically sophisticated, comprehensive care for the heart, veins and arteries with a highly trained, compassionate staff committed to being patients’ health care partner. The newest Heart & Vascular Care providers credit their ability to provide the most appropriate care and treatment options to patients at the earliest possible warning signs by using a patient-centered approach, listening and understanding individual patient needs.
EvergreenHealth Heart & Vascular Care provides patients with access to the full continuum of care for cardiac evaluation, diagnostic testing and intervention for virtually all cardiac conditions. The practice attracts physicians from across the U.S. and Canada to visit the hospital and learn from the team’s approach to vascular care, and the U.S. government has recognized EvergreenHealth’s program as one of the nation’s most successful programs for heart attack victims.
