Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth is currently recruiting volunteers for its Community Advisors program. Members of the Community Advisors group help guide the organization and shape future services and programs through direct interaction with EvergreenHealth’s elected board and key administrative leaders.
“Through the input and feedback from local community members, we continue to find new and better ways to serve our patients, visitors and the community above and beyond expectations,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte. “Members of our Community Advisors program embody the dedication of the community to EvergreenHealth – one of the special attributes that sets us apart.”
Community advisors attend nine educational sessions throughout the year focusing on health care issues impacting the community and EvergreenHealth services that address those issues. Additionally, they serve on internal EvergreenHealth committees and as ambassadors, representing EvergreenHealth at community events. Candidates must submit their applications prior to Oct. 28, 2016.
Board-appointed volunteers serve three-year terms commencing in January, with the option to renew after each three-year term. Community advisors may serve up to nine years. Qualifications include community involvement, professional or volunteer experience, strong communication skills and an interest in health care delivery. Advisors must be residents of the EvergreenHealth District, which encompasses Bothell, Duvall, Kenmore, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish and Woodinville.
