Board of Commissioners Application

The EvergreenHealth Board of Commissioners is seeking interested residents for Position #5, an At-Large position.

The Board opening is the result of Jeanette Greenfield's retirement from the Board, effective December 31, 2018.

Interested residents who want to apply for the position must apply by Friday, Nov. 2, 2018.

The commissioner appointed to replace Greenfield in position #5 may choose to run for office in the 2019 general election.


About the Board of Commissioners

As a public district health care system, EvergreenHealth is governed by a Board of Commissioners, which is currently comprised of seven members, each elected by the voters in the district to serve a six-year term.

The Board provides governance and accountability for EvergreenHealth’s mission, vision and purpose, quality, service and overall effectiveness, through collaboration and counsel to the system’s CEO.


Board Member Requirements

The prospective Commissioner should meet the following basic requirements:

  • Be a resident of King County Public Health District (KCPHD) #2
  • Be a registered voter
  • Be engaged in the community
  • Have a track record of public and community service
  • Understand and honor the role of governance
  • Represent the diversity of the community
  • Willing to serve 15-20 hours/month
  • Willing to provide public disclosure
  • Have no conflicts of interest and not be employed by KCPHD or EvergreenHealth
