Becker’s Hospital Review has recognized EvergreenHealth on its 2018 list of “100 Great Community Hospitals,” honoring the health system for the third year in a row for being a vital part of its community by providing quality care, safety and service to patients across the Eastside.
It is one of only two health systems in Washington to be named to the list.
Becker’s Hospital Review evaluates independent community hospitals across the nation, as well as facilities affiliated with large health systems, based on their proven quality of care, operational excellence and economic impact on surrounding areas. The publication’s editorial team considered key awards, rankings and certifications, as well as reputation for leadership and innovation, when selecting this year’s finalists.
Becker’s Hospital Review defines a community hospital as one with fewer than 550 beds and with minimal teaching programs. Along with EvergreenHealth, Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles was the only other organization in Washington to be named as a Great Community Hospital for 2018.
