Healthgrades, the nation's leading provider of independent hospital ratings, named EvergreenHealth one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for 2021...ranking it among the nation's Top 1% of hospitals.

Previously, EvergreenHealth had been recognized as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals (2017-2020) and as one of America's 250 Best Hospitals (2014-2016).

The Leapfrog Group

image of Leapfrog Safety Award logoThe Leapfrog Group, a leading nonprofit watchdog organization on hospital quality and safety, has awarded EvergreenHealth an “A” rating for patient safety in its Spring 2021 review.

Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Grades score hospitals across the country on how safe they keep their patients from medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year. Each hospital is assigned an A, B, C, D or F grade.

US News & World Report - Best Hospitals

The US News 2019-2020 Best Hospitals report recognized EvergreenHealth as the #3 hospital in the Seattle metro area, and #3 in the state. We were rated as "high performing" for pulmonary, nephrology, knee and hip replacement, colon cancer surgery, heart failure, urology and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. See our Best Hospitals results

EvergreenHealth Medical Center earned a 5-star rating in the 2021 Hospital Compare overall quality systems rankings conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). EvergreenHealth was one of just 455 hospitals nationwide to receive the 5-star designation. 

Becker's Hospital Review "100 Great Community Hospitals for 2019"

EvergreenHealth was recognized by Becker’s for its quality care, safety and service achievements over the last year, and for being a vital part of its community by offering quality care and exceptional services to its patient population. This is the fourth straight year for this award.

Washington Health Alliance 2018 Value Report

This combination of factors provides a snapshot of the value variation across 48 Washington hospitals and helps refute a common belief that higher prices always translate into better care and improved outcomes for patients.

We were recognized for our low 30-day mortality and readmission rates, and for fewer complications and higher survival rates – while also having shorter lengths of stay and lower cost than comparable organizations.
