Animal-Assisted Therapy Teams
Don’t be surprised if you run across a friendly four-legged member of our team when you visit EvergreenHealth.
They are part of EvergreenHealth's Animal Assisted Therapy program, and they provide unconditional love and support to our patients, families and staff. Many of the patients they visit are missing their own animal and are delighted by the surprise of a therapy dog team.
Along with their handlers, the dog teams visit patients throughout our medical center and hospice center in Kirkland.
You can request a visit at the hospital by calling the volunteer department at (425) 899-1994. Visits at the hospice care center can be requested at the nurse's station.

- Breed: Mini Australian Labradoodle

- Loves: A ball. Any ball. I can't stop!
- Favorite Treats: I'm not picky.
- Greatest Accomplishment: Providing emotional support in times of disaster. and emergency with HOPE Animal Assisted Crisis Response.

- Loves: A stuffed bear that squeaks and squeaks, playing with balls, people of all ages and other dogs.

- Favorite Activities: Hanging out with friends and family, playing fetch, watching out for bunnies, swimming, cleaning out peanut butter jars.

- Favorite Treat: Pup Cups.
- Greatest Accomplishment: Becoming a Pet Partners therapy team dog.

Raven
- Breed: Terrier/Choodle
- Joined EvergreenHealth: 2018
- Favorite Toy: Brown teddy bear and squeaky orange rubber ball.
- Favorite Activity: Agility, going for walks and car rides, cuddling and meeting new people and making friends.
- Favorite Treat: Chicken or peanut butter treats and cheese.
- Greatest Accomplishment: Becoming a Reading with Rover therapy dog.

Scarlett O'Hair
- Breed: Golden Retriever
- Joined EvergreenHealth: 2024
- Loves: Lap time (I think I'm a lap dog), cuddles, sunbathing and people.
- Favorite Treats: Carrots and sticks (sometimes a whole branch!).
- Fun Fact: I love to play fetch with George the Tuxedo cat (we throw the ball to each other). I also share my meals with him, purposely dropping kibbles on the floor so he can eat!
