Community Advisors
EvergreenHealth Monroe's Community Advisors play a vital role in advancing the health system's mission to enrich the health and well-being of its community. Community Advisors serve as ambassadors for the organization, helping to shape future services and programs through direct consultation with EvergreenHealth Monroe's administrative leaders.
Community Advisors attend four to six educational sessions throughout the year focusing on healthcare issues that impact our local communities and explore the services EvergreenHealth Monroe offers to address those issues.
Advisors serve three-year terms beginning in January, with the option to renew after each three-year term and serving up to nine years. The group commonly consists of past and present patients of EvergreenHealth Monroe as well as retired EvergreenHealth Monroe employees who want to stay connected to their professional home and our community.
Qualifications include community involvement, professional and/or volunteer experience, strong communication skills and an interest in health care delivery. Advisors must be residents of the EvergreenHealth Monroe District (Snohomish County Public Hospital District No. 1), which encompasses Monroe, Snohomish, Sultan, Gold Bar, and Index.
