Richard Meeks, CHC, CCEP

Chief Compliance Officer

Richard Meeks is a seasoned compliance professional with over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry. As Chief Compliance Officer, he oversees the organization's compliance programs, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Richard's career began in 1990 working in the Health Information Management department at the University of Washington Medical Center. His compliance career began in 2001 with UW Medicine, where he developed and implemented their HIPAA Compliance Program. He then served as Assistant Compliance Officer from 2003 to 2013, leading initiatives that enhanced organizational compliance. In 2013, Richard joined EvergreenHealth as the Compliance Officer, overseeing the compliance programs for the health system.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington. He is a Certified Healthcare Compliance Professional (CHC), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional and a member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).

Throughout his career, Richard has been committed to promoting ethical practices and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. His extensive experience and leadership have been instrumental in fostering a culture of compliance within the organizations he has served.
