We work hard every day to make sure you have the best possible experience, whether you're visiting our medical center or one of our physician practices.
We use a number of methods to continuously monitor our commitment to an exceptional experience, including secret shoppers, focus groups and by regularly surveying our patients after they have received care at our hospital and practices.
Our surveys adhere to the HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) and CG-CAHPS (Clinician & Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey process, a national health care standard which asks patients to report on and rate their recent experiences with clinicians and their staff, and about their experiences during a recent hospital stay or time of care.
Patient Experience Surveys
We want to know about your experience at EvergreenHealth, and if we met your expectations.
We use a national firm, Press Ganey, to contact our patients with a survey by either mail or email, after their healthcare service. The survey asks for your feedback and measurement on a variety of topics related to your care (consistent with HCAHPS and CG-CAHPS).
The resulting data is provided to us on a quarterly basis and shared with our staff. This information is one of the ways to understand your experience and identify ways to continue to enhance our care and service, to give you the ideal service experience.
EvergreenHealth's Q1 2021 (January - March)
Patient experience results for "Likelihood to Recommend".
Top Box scores reflect the percentage of patients who reported emphatically that they would recommend our services, by answering the best possible answer* on their survey.
Provider Ratings and Comments
We are pleased to provide you with real-time star ratings and comments about our physicians to help you make informed choices when seeking medical care. These are available on the physician profiles on our website. Find a Physician.
The ratings and comments come from patients who have had appointments with our physicians. We feel that feedback from actual patients present a better reflection of patient satisfaction.
This is different from ratings you see on sites such as Yelp, Google or Healthgrades, where ratings and comments can be left by anyone – whether they've seen the physician or not.
The ratings on the EvergreenHealth website are also more statistically accurate, as they are calculated from a larger number of reviews than sites that show only a handful of reviews.
Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met Magazine both conduct annual surveys of local health care professionals asking which doctors they would go to if they had a medical need.
Those receiving the most votes in their area of specialty are published in the magazines' Top Doctors listings.
