(Awarded by The Leapfrog Group) EvergreenHealth has received its fourteenth consecutive "A" rating for hospital safety, seven years in a row, in recognition of our commitment to protecting patients from preventable errors, accidents and infections. Center of Excellence - Total Joint Program (2023) & Orthopedic Surgery (2024)

(Awarded by DNV) EvergreenHealth's Total Joint Program (2023) and Orthopedic Surgery Program (2024) have been recognized as Centers of Excellence by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The Orthopedic Surgery Program is the only program in the Pacific Northwest region to receive this distinction, and the Total Joint Program was the first in Washington state to receive this designation. Best Hospital in U.S. for Clinical Outcomes (2022)

(Awarded by the Lown Institute) EvergreenHealth ranks number one in the nation for Clinical Outcomes. EvergreenHealth came in first among more than 3,600 hospitals nationwide for its excellence in patient safety and patient satisfaction. Read more

(Awarded by DNV Healthcare) EvergreenHealth Stroke Care has earned the Comprehensive Stroke Center certification from DNV Healthcare, recognizing that EvergreenHealth meets the highest national standards for stroke care. Read more

Other Awards

Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative

EvergreenHealth was the first hospital in the United States to be recognized as a Baby-Friendly Hospital, and the designation has been reviewed and renewed every five years since 1996. This is the gold standard of maternity care, awarded by UNICEF and the World Health Organization. Read more

Community Service Award

Each year, EvergreenHealth's Board of Commissioners recognizes local individuals or organizations who have had a profound impact on enhancing the community's health. Honorees have included dedicated volunteers, health care activists and physicians. Read more
